About the After Adventures Series

The After Adventures series by A. Trae McMaken is a fantasy series with a whole lot of heart – and a whole lot of danger and mystery thrown in for good measure. The story follows two young lads, Rivien and Wydd, who suddenly find themselves on the streets after their families are brutally torn from them in a wild goblin attack. They set off into the unknown on a mission to track down a mythical creature known as a wish-dragon – a magical beast with the power to make your deepest desires come true. But the deeper they delve into the wild and crazy place known as the Waste, the more they stumble upon some pretty bizarre people – like old hermits who hand out dodgy advice and have secrets of their own. What starts off as a simple rescue mission turns out to be a whole lot more complicated – and altogether weirder – than they ever could have imagined.

At the same time – and on the other side of the land – the city of Urh is suddenly and brutally torn apart in an unexpected goblin attack. We thought the goblin problem was just a minor hassle – but boy were we wrong. Aust, a young lad who just happened to survive the attack, is left carrying around a crushing guilt. And so he sets off on a journey with an old mate to try and make it to the safety of Redberry town – but of course things just don’t go according to plan. It seems like there’s some kind of mysterious force guiding them, and before they know it they find themselves right in the middle of something way bigger than they could ever have handled. Old legends start to spring to life, forgotten heroes start to reappear – and suddenly it’s anyone’s game.
