About the Deliverance Company Series

The Deliverance Company series is romance, danger, and emotional stories that stick with you. Written by Debbie Macomber, this series has only three books—but each one is a full story on its own. Many readers may not know about these books yet, but once they start reading, they don’t stop.

Debbie Macomber is known for her sweet small-town love stories like the Cedar Cove series. But with Deliverance Company, she goes in a different direction. These books are about men who used to be soldiers or mercenaries and now take on secret, high-risk jobs. In the middle of all that action, we still find something deeper—love. Real, honest love that shows up in tough times and changes everything.

The first book Someday Soon introduces us to Cain McClellan, the leader of the Deliverance Company. He’s not the charming, talkative hero you might expect in a romance. He’s quiet, serious and focused on his work. But under all that, there’s a man who wants more from life. He’s drawn to Linette Collins, a kind and strong widow. Even though Cain doesn’t think he can have a normal life with someone like her, his heart tells a different story. Theirs is a slow and emotional story full of tension and longing that feels very real.

In the second book Sooner or Later we meet Letty Madden and Jack Murphy. Letty’s in trouble and needs help and Jack—a member of the Deliverance Company—is the one who shows up. What starts out as a rescue turns into something more. They both have wounds from their past but through the journey they learn to trust and love again. Theirs is a story about how love shows up when you least expect it, even when you’re not ready. The third book Moon Over Water is about Lorraine Dancy who finds out her whole life has been based on a lie. After a big shock about her father she’s on the run. That’s when she meets Jack Keller, a man with his own painful past. He’s also part of the Deliverance Company. Lorraine doesn’t want to depend on anyone but Jack is the only one who can protect her. As they try to stay safe something strong grows between them. Theirs is an intense but soft love story full of fear, trust and new beginnings.

One of the things that makes this series special is how real the characters feel. They’re not perfect. They make mistakes, they carry pain and they don’t always know what they want. But that’s what makes their stories feel so honest. You can see parts of yourself in them. The way they fall in love isn’t like in the movies—it’s slower, messier and more meaningful.

And the women in these books are worth mentioning too. They’re not just there to be rescued. They’re smart, capable and have their own agendas. Whether it’s helping someone heal or facing danger head on they bring a lot to the story.

Another thing readers love is the setting. The books take place in Texas and San Francisco but it’s not just where the characters are – it’s how those places shape their lives and emotions. Each place feels alive and the atmosphere adds something special to the story.

Although there are only three books the Deliverance Company series feels full and rich. You don’t have to read them all at once but once you start you’ll probably want to. If you like romance with a little action and deeper emotional layers these books are a good choice.

They’re also good if you want something a little different from the usual love stories. The mix of danger, love and healing is done in a way that feels natural not forced. And Debbie Macomber’s writing is always easy to read and easy to connect with.

Whether you’ve been a fan of Debbie for years or you’re just hearing her name now the Deliverance Company series is definitely worth a spot on your to read list. These are stories that make you feel something and they’ll stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
