About the Lord John Series

The Lord John books are part of the larger Outlander universe, written by Diana Gabaldon. While the Outlander series is about time travel, love and adventure across centuries, the Lord John books are something different. They follow Lord John Grey, a clever and honourable man living in 18th century England. He doesn’t time travel like some other Outlander characters, but his life is full of secrets, military politics, personal struggles and a bit of the unknown. Gabaldon originally wrote one short story about him, but readers loved the character so much she wrote more books and novellas about him. What makes Lord John special is how he tries to be himself in a world where being different could be deadly. He brings depth and emotion to every story. The series can be read on its own or as a companion to the main Outlander books. If you like historical fiction with strong characters and a bit of mystery, the Lord John series is worth reading.
