About the Lucy Kincaid Series
The Lucy Kincaid series – a long-running romantic suspense series from the talented pen of Allison Brennan that has won over many devoted readers over the years. Since the mid 2000s, Brennan has been cranking out crime novels and it’s pretty obvious in the way she puts together her stories and creates her characters – there’s real depth there. Although the actual first book in the series didn’t arrive until 2010, and only ran for a few years until 2014, she managed to write almost 10 books in total during that time. Each one is a real page turner that you can just about put down – they’re great to read and not so great to put down because you’re hooked. The books follow Lucy Kincaid, a young woman who gets through a pretty traumatic online nightmare that changes her life in ways she never could have imagined and from that point on has to relearn how to trust herself and take control of her own destiny. Instead of letting that experience beat her though, she takes that trauma, stands up to it & decides to fight back, getting increasingly involved with law enforcement and by doing so, learning the hard way to learn to trust herself again. As the series progresses you get to see Lucy tackle really hazardous villains, her own deep-seated fears & difficult choices, whilst at the same time dealing with relationships, romance and falling in love, which all adds to the authenticity of the story. There’s a great mix of FBI cases, online crime, and more emotionally charged moments thrown into the mix which all add up to give you a good feel for what real life is like. Brennan has a way of writing that’s as clear as day, you can pick up on what’s happening & follow the story without any trouble, even for readers who English isn’t their native language. In fact, many of her Lucy Kincaid books have made it onto the best seller lists, and to top it all off, they’s been translated into loads of other languages, showing just how popular they are across the globe. So if you enjoy hanging out in the world of crime fiction with characters that are strong, and a good depth of emotion, then the Lucy Kincaid series is a real treat to read from start to finish.
