About the Night Trilogy Series
The Night Trilogy is a historical romance series of novels that has caught the attention of readers of that genre from the bestselling author Catherine Coulter. These books were first released in 1989 and they take readers back to the Regency era in early 19th-century England—the period that was known for its elegant atmosphere, secrets, and social norms. The storyline in each of the three novels revolves around a different couple, however, the events are intertwined as the same characters get more deeply involved and new relationships unfold. Coulter launched Night Fire and Night Shadow in one go; the last part of the trilogy, Night Storm, was published in 1990. The series has been out of print for some time, but Coulter later gave the novels a slight make-over and issued them with renewed covers in Avon Books.
This trilogy is special because it incorporates somber themes with satire, love, and vivid characters. Going from Arielle, whose tragic tale of survival was, to Knight’s unplanned role of a protector, and lastly to Genny’s strong will in a male-dominated world, each book delivers a different voyage. Coulter’s writing style is both engaging and pacing, as she creates a perfect mixture of dramatic situations and sweet romantic scenes. If you are a historical romance lover or a newbie, the Night Trilogy is a classic series that still has charm and depth and catches the essence of love to a time when it was not so openly discussed.
