The Paul Stuart series by Alexander McCall – it’s the story of writer Paul Stuart, a bloke who’s always dreamed of keeping a low profile, but somehow life always conspires to throw him a curveball. Paul is a man who likes to think ahead, plan carefully… but you know what? Things always seem to go a bit awry for him. In the first book, Paul packs his bags and heads off to the tiny town of Montalcino in Italy, hoping to finally put the finishing touches on a book that’s been hanging over him for far too long.
