The Society Trilogy by A. Zavarelli & Natasha Knight – it’s a seriously dark and addictive romance that’s got 3 intense books to its name: Requiem of the Soul, Reparation of Sin, and Resurrection of the Heart. At its heart is a rather harsh world of high society where some guy – Santiago – comes back to a place that was taken from him with one major goal in his mind: claiming it back. It’s a place where love and cruelty are pretty much side by side, and where the line between the two gets blurred all too easily. You get pulled into a dance between Santiago – a man who’s been pretty much shaped by scars and fury – and Ivy Moreno, who gets drawn into his orbit not because of destiny or anything like that, but more by force of circumstances. Each of the 3 books in the series peels back another layer – the first one sets off the fire of vengeance, the second tightens the hold of obsession and survival inside The Manor, and the third makes both of the main characters have to face up to the consequences of what they’ve done as new life and final betrayals come crashing in. Natasha Knight’s writing is pretty upfront in the way she uses language and keeps the emotions raw, so if you’re into dark romance, twisted loyalties and morally grey heroes you’ll be turning pages late at night. It’s not exactly brain-busting to follow but at the same time it’s got plenty of tension – this is a series that really questions how far people will go to get power, protection and the one thing they swear they just can’t live without – and whether anyone broken to that extent can ever really find redemption
